Steps Involved
- Double click the icon for Mozilla Firefox and launch the browser.
- Once the Firefox program comes up, choose the option Tools in the program. You can find this option in the menu bar.
- In the drop down menu, select the option Add-ons. The shortcut keys to open Add-ons window are Ctrl, Shift and A. Press these keys simultaneously to open the window for Add-ons.
- With the above step, you will find a new window opened as a new tab in the browser. This window stays next to the Start Page of the browser.
- Select the add-ons that you no longer use and click the button Disable. Keep in mind that this will only deactivate the toolbar. If you want to remove the toolbar from the browser, click the button Remove after selecting the toolbar.
- Select the Start menu and click Run.
- In the Run window, type appwiz.cpl and click the button OK.
- The above step launches the window for Add or Remove Programs.
- Select the toolbars from the Add or Remove Programs window that you no longer wish to keep in your computer.
- Select the button Remove to uninstall the toolbars.
