• Start the Sins of a Solar Empire game in the online multiplayer game mode. Once the game has started, you will be able to view other players currently logged into the game session.
• To enter the in-game chat window press Enter.
• Using the Tab button on the left top corner of your keyboard you can alternate, to communicate with multiple players in the game. As it is a multiplayer game, you can have allies and enemies in the game. You can choose to communicate to all players in the current game session, or to only your allies. Ensure that you do not reveal your game plan to players other than your allies, or risk losing the edge over your enemies in the game.
• Click inside the text box in the chat window corresponding to the player you wish to pass the message to, and type that message. Pressing Enter after typing the message will proceed to send that message to the designated player.
• Remember to use tags before the text to specify which online player the message is intended. Before typing the message, enter /w followed by that player’s name. This will help you establish a private chat with that player alone. If you wish to pass a message to all players currently on your friend’s list, you can do this by entering /f before typing the message.
