Steps To Setup Outlook Express Using POP3

Instructions
  • Start the process of setting up your Microsoft Outlook application with POP3 by kicking off the Outlook application in your Windows computer by accessing the Start menu or by double clicking the shortcut icon for Microsoft Outlook seen in the system desktop.
  • Now, the Microsoft Outlook window will be opened in your system. Now, you need to click the option called Tools from the Outlook menu followed by clicking the option called Accounts.  
  • This will open up a pop up window on your desktop screen, which has four tabs. It includes, All, Mail, News and Directory Service. Now, you need to click the button called Add. 
  • Next, you need to click the option called Mail.
  • Now you need to type the display name for your account. This is the name that others will get in the From field when you send an email to your friends or families. Here, you need to enter the desired name followed by clicking the button called Next. 
  • Next step is typing the email address that you want to configure. Enter the email address that needs to be configured in the appropriate field and click the button called Next. 
  • Here, POP3 is your incoming mail server. I.e. pop.123-reg.co.uk is your incoming mail server address. And the outgoing mail server will be smtp.123-reg.co.uk.
  • Now, you need to click the button called Next. 
  • The mailbox username is generally the name of your account that is your Account name. 
  • The mailbox password will be the password for your account. 
  • After that, click the button that is labeled Next.
  • Finally, conclude the process by clicking the button called Finish.
