Remove Babylon Toolbar And Its Files From The Computer

When you install some of the programs in your computer, you might find Babylon toolbar bundled together with it. Usually, there would be a tick mark near the option to install this toolbar. If you do not remove the check mark, this toolbar would be installed on your computer along with the other program.

Toolbars are generally helpful in improving your overall internet browsing experience. However, there are some exceptions and Babylon toolbar is one such toolbar. Once this toolbar is installed on your computer, the internet browsers will start to respond slower. This toolbar also changes your home page and starts to redirect websites.

Steps Involved

Babylon toolbar is a browser-hijacking program, and it needs to be removed immediately to ensure safe internet browsing. Babylon toolbar removal is a simple process and involves only a few steps. In this post, we will find out how to remove this troublesome toolbar and all its files from your computer.

Uninstalling the toolbar from control panel
  • Open the Control Panel window from the Start menu.
  • If you are using Windows XP operating system, double click the option Add or Remove Programs. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, click the option Uninstall a program, which is found under the option Programs.
  • The above step brings up a new window with the list of installed programs in the computer. 
  • If you are using Windows XP operating system, select Babylon Toolbar from the list and click the option Remove. If you are using a Windows 7 or Windows Vista computer, select Babylon Toolbar and click the option Uninstall.
The above step will remove the toolbar from your computer. Now, we should remove the files associated with this toolbar from the computer. Follow the steps below for this.
  • Double click and open My Computer from the desktop window.
  • Open the C: drive and double click the folder Program Files. This is the folder where all the files of the installed programs are found.
  • Locate the folder for Babylon toolbar and delete it.
Next step is to remove the registry entries. Follow the steps below for it.
  • Open the Run window and enter regedit in it.
  • Click the button OK. This will open the Registry Editor window.
  • In this window, press Ctrl and F key together to open the search window. Enter Babylon Toolbar and hit Enter. Remove all entries.
